This table is intended as a guide only and exact feeding amounts should be varied according to your dog’s age, sex, breed, condition and activity levels. Please note that feeding amounts should be based on the ideal adult body weight for your dog. Adult dogs should be fed twice per day. When introducing Vitalin into your dog’s diet we advise that this is done gradually over a period of 5-10 days until it replaces all other food. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
my bitch will be 16 in march and we have always given her vitalin dry dog food she has the coat, teeth, body and fitness of a much younger dog. would highly recommend this product.
We have tried quite a few dry kibble brands over the years for our German shepherds ,to find decent affordable quality to also leave a budget for treats they both like has been costly especially as they can be sensitive to certain types of food .The salmon mature suits our 9 yr old young lady well and she will happily eat it dry or semi moist or topped with some meaty extras as a treat ,depending on her daily activities have been, as she is very well covered so have to keep it simple as possible for her .Our young lad is 16months &on the lean side and generally a picky eater but he too likes her salmon food so we got him the adult chicken and potatoe as he became quite bored of the Arden grange he grew up on ,so I was very happy to know this was an alternative for him which so far so good he has a lovely glossy dark sable semi long coat and has frequent admirers of his handsome looks ,its nice to know his diet is obviously doing good with normal stools too .so well done vitalin on your sensitive range as its good value and suits out two sensitive gsd's .We often buy it from. Our local country store that retail it at welcoming prices which is fab but also this site is a good place to get it also ,its been really helpful seeing the other reviews of owners and their beloved dogs as I think it's nice for people to share their comments and feedback on this food so thankyou to the people who took the time to share their views as its very helpful to new Comer's to vitalin ,so woof woof and thanks
It's taken me a long time to find a food suitable for all of my nine year old dog's needs, medical and age related! The food is a godsend for her as it contains the glucosamine and chondriton which replaces the need for a seperate joint supplement, it has the lowest fat/oil percentage we have ever seen! Our vet advised us to find a food that contains below 10% because she suffers from pancreatic flare ups and it's very gentle on her digestive system. The proof for us is that since starting on this food there have been no more flare ups in the six months we've been feeding Vitalin, her joints are less stiff and her coat is silky soft. Even better still is that as soon as the food hits her bowl it's gone in less than a minute! I would highly recommend it and have done so among friends.
I would love our dog to be used as an example of Vitalin and the '10 years younger' effect. Following dramatic surgery to a rear leg (snapped ligament) and a long period of convalescence, I researched food that would aid her recovery. Not only did it do that but she underwent a complete transformation. From being obviously stiff and uncomfortable and stretching at frequent intervals, she is now full of energy and joie de vivre. Her coat has got darker and she looks a picture of health. Not bad for a 13 year old! Many thanks from us and in particular from Sprout.
