Complete Dry Ferret Food

Vitalin Ferret Food is a nutritionally complete balanced premium ferret food in an extruded kibble, and does not require any additional meat or supplements. Vitalin Ferret Food is made with over 40% meat, including prime fresh chicken & premium chicken meat meal for maximum palatability and digestibility. As carnivores, it is essential that ferrets digest high levels of meat to provide the necessary proteins they require. Whole cooked rice is also included as an excellent source of natural carbohydrate.

Prebiotic FOS (fructo-oligosaccarides) help promote a healthy gut and aid digestion. By encouraging growth of good bacteria that are naturally present in the large intestine, the food will also help to reduce bad bacteria, thereby promoting overall well-being.

Omega 3 to promote healthy skin and coat, whilst yucca extract helps minimise unwanted odours.

Antioxidant Vitamins - including beta carotene, vitamin C, copper and organic selenium to aid immunity and optimise fertility.

Naturally Preserved - does not contain any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

B-vitamins and Taurine boost metabolism and deliver excellent energy provision.

Feeding Guide

KITS – Vitalin Ferret Food can be fed to kits from as early as 3 to 4 weeks. During the first week we would recommend feeding small quantities of fresh Vitalin Ferret Food regularly, softening the food with a little warm water. Reduce the quantity of water throughout the week and feed dry from the second week onwards.

ADULTS – Vitalin Ferret should be fed dry and can be given on a free feed basis, a normal adult will require between 40-60 grams per day. When Vitalin Ferret is being introduced to replace another diet it should be introduced slowly over a 7-day period to help minimise any digestive problems. Pregnant/Lactating Jills should be allowed to free feed.

Fresh Chicken and Chicken Meat Meal, Whole Rice, Herring Meal, Whole Egg, Chicken Liver & Sugar Beet, Vitamins & Minerals.

Analysis:
Protein 40%, Oil 20%, Fibre 2%, Ash 10%, Copper 18 mg/kg, Vitamin - A 27,000 iu/kg, Vitamin D3 - 1,500 iu/kg, Vitamin E - 175 iu/kg.

Vitamin Potency:
15 months from date of manufacture.

I started feeding my jill ferret vitalin when she was in early pregnancy to give her a little bit of an extra boost. She kept in fantastic condition all through the pregnancy and produced 9 strong kits. The kits were born 3 weeks ago and the jill still has a fantastic coat and lots of energy to feed them. after using vitalin ferret for the last 3 years my local pet shop closed down and i couldn't get vitalin so had to change to another brand and noticed that the ferrets were not eating it so much and within 2 weeks i could see the difference in condition that all my ferrets were in was not good their coats were dull and they were loosing weight so i phoned the vitalin office where i ordered a 15kg bag and when it was delivered 3 days later went straight and filled there bowls with it where they just stood there eating it and emptying the bowls . I have a ferret sanctuary and have over 60 ferrets at any one time. When i started mixing viatlin in with other brands i noticed they were only picking the vitalin out and leaving the rest so i now just feed vitalin, every one of them loves it and they have lovely soft coats. due to the shape of the biscuit there is no wastage unlike another brand. My ferrets say 'thanks you vitalin'

I don't know what I'd do if I was unable to buy my bags of Vitalin as my ferrets literally will not eat any other dried ferret food available on the market. Believe me, I've tried them all as I know it's good to mix in case you can't get hold of your usual feed for some reason. My ferrets would rather starve than eat something other than Vitalin!

This is the ferret food my gang would chose. The biscuits are the perfect shape, the quality is excellent and given the chance even my cats try to steal this food. Just to add the new service is a great bonus and improves the already fantastic service delivered by Vitalin!
