Can I add water to Vitalin Extruded products?

Yes you can feed Vitalin extruded products wet, however we recommend you feed them dry as it will help keep your dogs teeth clean and healthy.

Can I feed the Vitalin Muesli Diets dry?

Yes you can but make sure your dog has plenty on fresh drinking water.

Do I need to add anything to any of the Vitalin Complete Dog Foods?

No, all our dog foods are complete balanced diets containing all the vitamins and minerals your dog needs for a happy, healthy, active life. If you add any food to the Vitalin this can cause an imbalance in your dog’s diet.

How much Vitalin do I feed my dog?

The daily feeding guide is printed on each bag of Vitalin Dog Food and on each product page on this website. Please remember that every dog is different and will depend on how active your dog is.

Do I feed what my dog weighs now on the Vitalin Senior/Lite?

No, you must feed what your dog should weigh. It may still look like you are feeding a lot but this is an expanded kibble with tiny air bubbles in. After feeding what your dog should weigh for a couple of weeks you will start to notice the difference.

How often do I feed my diabetic dog the Vitalin Senior/Lite?

Break the meals down in to 3 – 4 meals a day so they get the slow release energy and don’t end up with a sugar rush.

Prebiotic FOS help to promote a healthy gut and aid digestion, by encouraging growth of good bacteria that are naturally present in the large intestine, the food will also help to reduce bad bacteria thereby the overall wellbeing of your dog.

No, the only salt present comes from the natural ingredients.

What does hypoallergenic and Gluten-Free mean?

This means that it is free from ingredients most commonly associated which allergic reactions e.g. wheat, beef, dairy products, soya, artificial colours and flavours.

What is the difference between Wheat Gluten-Free and Gluten-Free?

Gluten is a protein fraction found in wheat, barley, maize and rye. It is dominant in wheat and wheat gluten is the major issue in pet intolerance. A separate protein fraction of gluten appears in barley, maize and rye but this is not as prevalent or doesn’t appear to cause as many issues with pets as wheat does. The majority of products therefore declare wheat gluten free as there is no wheat in there but cannot guarantee gluten free if they have other cereals in there.
